David joined us in 2009 and qualified from Cardiff and joined the Royal Army Dental Corp where he achieved the rank of Major.
He left the Army in 2006 and has since been based in private practice.
David’s main area of interest is in implants.
David has quickly increased his implant exposure by working in Ilkley, London and Cornwall in Implant referral practices.
David is a member of the ITI and has travelled across Europe attending courses. He currently holds an Honorary Research contract at the Eastman Dental Institute researching the effects of membrane placement and anti-resorptive medication. David has recently been accepted on a mentoring programme at the University of Berne, Switzerland. He has been offered one of only five positions that are available worldwide. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on both the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry. He has lectured at The Royal College of Surgeons and is involved in the teaching and examination of the IQE and MJDF examinations. David is a founder member of The Byrnes Implant Study Group. He is a member of the BDA and a member SAAD. (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry)
Away from dentistry, David is a keen rugby player and snowboarder.
